The Kamasutra: Tulip

This piece was such a pain to work on! One of those reasons being that I felt like the position on the right is just physically impossible. These positions are both called “Tulip” but the only difference is that one is supposed to be done on the couch. However, the position on the left is extremely different than the one on the right with or without the couch. But now as I type this, I see how both positions could resemble a tulip! I also used acrylic on this, which is a medium that hardly use anymore. I said all of this to say that the prolonged making of this piece came from a place of fear and confusion lmao. Fun Fact: The name of the tulip I painted in the back is called the Flaming Parrot Tulip.
