Id, Ego, and Superego explores the intricate layers of the human psyche through a surreal and symbolic landscape. In this piece, four women stand in a liminal space, gazing at landscapes shaped by fragmented body parts—each representing different aspects of the self. The painting evokes Freud's model of the mind: the impulsive, primal id; the conscious, rational ego; and the moralizing, idealistic superego. Through this visual metaphor, the work invites viewers to reflect on the delicate balance between desire, reason, and societal influence, exploring the tension and harmony within our internal worlds.
